In this Portugal travel vlog we get out into nature and try a nude beach and naturism for the first time. We fell in love with Portugal in this travel video with a trip to the Tibet of Portugal Sistello where there are many hikes around the area. We found one of the most idyllic creeks ever before making our way to Rio Alto beach for a very quick skinny dip and see if the naturist beach was for us. This was one of our most fun travel experiences and recommend everyone trying it once.

This is the first episode of a new series here on Kick the Grind. It's going to be called travel stories, and I'll be explaining some of the wild adventures behind the videos you see here.
This was all filmed in and around Leticia, Colombia. This part of the country is right on the border between Brazil, and Peru. Here many people take river cruises to the Peruvian Amazon, or wander off into the depths of Brazilian amazon in search for a Shaman.
Kicking it off, is answering the number 1 question I had after posting the amazon jungle adventure challenge videos, and then the experience finding a shaman in the Brazilian rainforest.
In this video I explain a bit more of what happened in the forests of South America, and also explain our encounter with Huito, a seed that creates a blue pigment when mixed with water. It's also called Jagua Tattooing when you use this deep colour to stain your hair, skin, hands, etc. We encountered this strange plant many times while doing our river cruise, and began to apply it shortly after fishing for piranhas. When your Jagua Tattoo is first applied it looks clear. Fast forward a day later, and it looks like you have crazy full hand tattoos.
We also were painted with Annatto, also known as Achiote or Colorau. It's an orange pigment from the seed of a tree. These seeds produce a bright orange paste that is used to paint ornamental markings on the skin. It is also used as a food colorant in many dishes (and processed foods) around the world.

South African pro surfers Ricky Basnett, Emma Smith and Avuyile "Avo" Ndamase set off on an epic overlanding surf adventure - a 4x4 road trip to find perfect waves off the beaten track in the incredibly beautiful Transkei region (now the Eastern Cape) of South Africa. The Transkei is one of the most beautiful road trips in South Africa and one of the best places to visit in South Africa - a top travel destination!
Along their journey down the scenic wild coast of South Africa, the trio visit renowned surf spots like the right hand point break at Mdumbi, Lwandile and the beautiful beach break at Coffee bay; and enjoy fun waves and picturesque conditions. In fact, Jeffrey's bay local Emma Smith, became the first female surfer to grace the cover of Zigzag surf magazine with a picture taken of her surfing at Mdumbi on the first day of this trip. But the gorgeous, largely untouched parts of the Eastern Cape are difficult to access and the surfers require their Mitsubishi Triton 4x4 bakkies to reach many of the surf spots. This results in a fair amount of time exploring unknown nooks along the rugged coastline, driving over hills and along sheer cliff faces, dodging cows on the gravel roads and navigating through friendly villages - a proper African surf mission!
A visit to the Transkei wouldn't be complete without a visit to the iconic Hole in the wall, an impressive natural rock archway, just outside Coffee Bay; and the trio of professional surfers decide to attempt the impossible - surfing the legendary hole in the wall. Ricky Basnett has surfed the best waves in the world, but there is something special about surfing this unique place - a once in a lifetime opportunity.
Every surfer looking for an epic surf trip should consider a road trip through South Africa, and the Transkei.

In October of 2012 we took a group of spiritual adventurers to Orissa, India. This part of India, on the east coast, is little known to the average tourist, and yet is famous for its legacy as a spiritual and cultural center. It has been a thriving center of Buddhism, Tantrisim, and Vishnaivism (Krishna Worship) over the centuries. The spiritual heritage of this area has left breath-taking monuments and vibrant traditions of all kind of arts and spiritual practices. In addition, Orissa is one of the last parts of India where tribal cultures are still able to thrive and maintain their intact traditional tribal life, and are left untouched in the depth of the jungles. Our trip, led by Phil Price, a geologist and ancient sites adventurist, and Revital Carroll, an Odissi dancer and Yoga and Qigong teacher, featured both travel through the ancient sites of Tantric India and tribal land, as well as practice of yoga, Qigong and/or dance. Our tour culminated with an inspirational dance demonstration by the experienced Odissi dancers in our group who anchored the renewal of an annual dance festival held in the tribal village of Athmallik.

Introduction : The Adventure Begins
The team was on a major expedition up Karjiang, a mythical mountain located in Tibet. The weather was perfect and the team had no difficulty reaching Camp 1. They set up camp for the night, and all went to sleep. But unknown to them, disaster was about to strike. A mighty avalanche came thundering down the face of Karjiang. The ground beneath their feet collapsed and the team was pulled into the abyss. Unbeknownst to them, the mountaineers were in a cave. It was warm and humid, unlike the surface where the mountaineers were from earlier. As they continued with their journey, the mountaineers found a passageway that led to an exit. But what they saw at the end of tunnel was not what they had expected - mountainous terrain covered with snow and icy gravel. They were in disbelief, a tropical jungle untouched, bustling with bird calls and a thunderous roar of a waterfall in the background. Where were they?

In October of 2012 we took a group of spiritual adventurers to Orissa, India. This part of India, on the east coast, is little known to the average tourist, and yet is famous for its legacy as a spiritual and cultural center. It has been a thriving center of Buddhism, Tantrisim, and Vishnaivism (Krishna Worship) over the centuries. The spiritual heritage of this area has left breath-taking monuments and vibrant traditions of all kind of arts and spiritual practices. In addition, Orissa is one of the last parts of India where tribal cultures are still able to thrive and maintain their intact traditional tribal life, and are left untouched in the depth of the jungles. Our trip, led by Phil Price, a geologist and ancient sites adventurist, and Revital Carroll, an Odissi dancer and Yoga and Qigong teacher, featured both travel through the ancient sites of Tantric India and tribal land, as well as practice of yoga, Qigong and/or dance. Our tour culminated with an inspirational dance demonstration by the experienced Odissi dancers in our group who anchored the renewal of an annual dance festival held in the tribal village of Athmallik.

This was probably the best day in my life when it comes to traveling! My friends and I visited Kawasan Falls at Cebu in the Philippines, a place we consider a must-do for all travelers who visit this beautiful country. The Kawasan falls are located in the west of Cebu. This place has become very popular for canyoneering due to the unique blue, turquoise color of the water and the many waterfalls. There are many cliffs to jump from, natural water slides and even swing trees! The canyoneering is taking more than 3 hours, thus an endless and fun adventure is guaranteed. The trip already starts quite adventurous. You will have to do backriding on the motor cycles up to the hill from where you can take a zipline to cross over to the top side to hike down to the canyon at where the Kawasan falls are located. The zipline is thrilling and it will save you roughly 45 minutes. Once arrived at the gorge, your adventure will start. The water is really warm, the sunlight not too strong, but certainly you will be lost in a real paradise on earth. The jungle, the water, everything is so beautiful. I felt the Kawasan falls is the most beautiful place to do canyoning / canyoneering in the world. So far, I have not been to any better one. This activity is really a must-do for everyone who visits Cebu. It’s an easy canyoning, even for first-timers like Nato it was really doable.

This video is about our adventure in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. We had a lot of fun going there. The bus ride from Singapore was better than what we had expected. It was very comfortable from the start of our trip until we reached KL. And then when we arrived, the taxi driver had cheated us (ask for a higher fee) and we cannot get over how he tricked us. We just laugh it off of course, we would not allow it to ruin our trip. One of our main goal for this trip is to let our friend Stephen see the Petronas Twin Towers for the first time. And he did, Ron and I had showed it to him. After that we walked around Bukit Bintang and finished this Vlog by having our dinner at Jalan Alor.

Mae khlong market in thailand has the craziest train market you have ever seen. Not to miss this one of a kind market in Thailand. Located at Mueang Samut Songkhram District.
It is interesting and unique and I'm impressed how the vendor managed to fold their stall quick enough for the train to pass through.

A 3 day adventure trip with my travel buddies Kara, Steph, Liezel and Xian Mike. Our first day tour package was booked through Klook and paid SGD89.68 for everything including the van and a local tour guide. The package was basically a backcountry tour that brought us to different temples within the Angkor Wat enterprise. On our second day we booked a tuktuk which was recommended by a friend. The third day was just actually a half day tour because our flight back to Singapore was at 3:55pm. Here are the details of the tour packages and contacts if you wish to visit Siem Reap:

Note: Most of the temples are within the Angkor Wat Enterprise premises so it is a must to get an Angkor Pass. 1day Pass - USD37; 3day Pass - USD62; 7day Pass - USD72. The official currency of Cambodia is Riel but you can use USD beacuse it is the defacto currency of the countey. Establishments and even in their public transpo uses USD as well in most of their transactions.

Travel though Namibia on our epic adventure road trip, where we aim to 4x4 our way over the immense sand dunes outside Swakopmond and Walvis Bay in search of some of the best surf in the world on the Skeleton Coast. We our drive two new Isuzu KB double cab bakkies through the Namib desert.
Namibia is one of the most sparsely populated countries on earth. Dominated by the ancient Namib desert, the interior is intimidating and inhospitable and the legendary dunes rise to over 300m high - to tackle this landscape, you need a proper 4x4 overlanding vehicle.
However, at the coastline, where the desert sands meet the ocean, Namibia is becoming famous for it's incredible surf - most notably spots like Skeleton Bay. Driven by the promise of spectacular waves, we packed our bakkies and began our off road trip through the desert towards the sea.
Along the way on our epic surf adventure we would take in incredible, otherworldly views of the famous Damara Granite moon landscape, stop for a bit of impromptu sandboarding on huge sand dunes, discover a shipwreck off the Skeleton Coast and visit the towns of Walvis Bay, Swakopmund and Goanikontes oasis.
Given the harsh conditions, this adventure journey wouldn't have been possible without a tough, rugged and extremely capable 4×4. For this iteration of The Journey Africa, the Isuzu KB Double Cab 4×4 LX Automatic proved to be invaluable. We negotiated tricky mountainous terrain and drove on some of the largest sand dunes in the world without incident, which is a testament to the KB's 4×4 capability. The Isuzu KB performed exceptionally well in tough conditions and provided comfort for the Cars.co.za team and crew and we would like to extend special thanks to Isuzu South Africa for the support.

Her full-time home is a custom-built Tacoma Camper with a few DIY additions and creative hacks.
She has a massive batwing awning, triple-layered window screens, and a newly installed diesel heater. Solar panels are on the roof, and there's an outdoor shower and a portable potty for emergencies. Jet-setting goals? There’s a pack for that. We review plenty of bags here at Pack Hacker, but the Thule Landmark 40L is designed specifically for traveling around the world—so you know we had to check it out. Thule describes the Landmark as a “travel pack ready for several months of passport-stamped adventures” with key features like a detachable daypack and built-in safety components.
First things first, let’s talk options. The Thule Landmark is available in both a 60 and 70 liter version in addition to the 40 liter pack that we’ve been testing. They're all pretty similar; however, the 60 and 70 liter versions come with a detachable day pack on the front. That’s not usually our style, since we prefer the one-bag carry-on approach, but it’s there if you want it.
We should also just take a second to clarify that a 70 (and 60, for that matter) liter backpack is truly massive. It’s definitely not going to work as a carry-on bag, and it’s not going to be something you casually walk around with. We rarely feel the need to use packs over 40 liters, even for perpetual travel, but your mileage may vary.
A unique option on the Thule Landmark is that each size comes in either a men’s or women’s fit. The differences between them are slight changes in the harness system, which affect the way the bag carries. That’s not an option you see every day on a travel pack, and we like that Thule went in this direction to make the bag even more customizable for the right fit.
The Thule Landmark 40L has a lot going for it: we like that's it's available in both a men's and women's fit, we like the smart thinking behind the Safe Zone compartment concept, and the sleek zippered side water bottle pocket is a nice touch. The Landmark also comes from a brand we know and trust, thanks to many positive experiences. But the downsides are significant—the pack is made with a lesser-quality exterior fabric, the carry could be more comfortable, and access to the compartments is more time-consuming than we'd expect. All that said, we’ve been having fun testing Thule’s first shot at the adventure travel market and we believe the Landmark is worth serious consideration.

With augmented reality, visitors around the world can now explore cities in new ways, discovering landmarks and hidden gems in cities.
Google's ARCore partnered with Singapore Tourism Board using Google's new Geospatial Creator in Unity to create an immersive, augmented reality guided tour. Follow Merli, Singapore's tourism mascot, on an immersive tour of Singapore's iconic landmarks - from discovering the best local hawker food to uncovering history through scenes from the past.

SAILING WITH KIDS COSTA RICA! 🇨🇷
We had an amazing day sunset sailing with Brisa Elegante and this elegant wooden boat based in the Marina Pez Vela had everything we ever wanted. Great crew, safety gears, delicious food, board games top notch cocktails & mocktail for kids.
On board they even have kayaks, paddle boarding and gears for snorkeling.
Our girl, Ria was brave enough to walk the plank and jump off it. 💪🙌
We would definitely recommend sunset sailing. It’s such a beautiful experience. A must do sailing adventure when in Quepos/Manuel Antonio area.
