16 Days of Activism | Charntelle Maposa - Founder | YIELD Trust
Summary
Charntelle Ropafadzo Maposa is a 21 -year-old founder of Equipped to Cope (E.T.C), an online youth mental health and emotional wellness platform. The platform is divided into two subgroups namely, ‘The Ladies Rondavel’ and ‘The Man Cave’. The aim of the platform is for young people to equip each other with healthy coping mechanisms as responses to everyday life challenges which affect one's mental state or emotional well-being. Backed by a diploma in social work and currently undergoing my final year in the degree program, she is fully invested in the betterment of women in the area of mental health, and strongly believes that a clear mind allows one to function well in society and healthily tackle life's problems. Currently, the platform is offering free online counselling for all women and this has greatly improved various women's outlooks on life and responses to challenges faced daily. The overall goal is to equip women with emotional intelligence and coping mechanisms suitable for their societies at large, families and self.
