Political analyst Trita Parsi says Israel is no longer the taboo issue it once was in US politics, and that grassroots support among Democrats and Republicans for cutting off military aid to Israel’s government is growing.
Paris says as pro-Palestinian voices have become more vocal in the Democratic base, and ask America First became the dominant narrative among Republicans, Israel has become an inconvenient topic for both parties to talk about in an election cycle.
