Minimum Wage Negotiation: Organized Labour To Proceed With Nationwide Strike

After about four hours behind closed doors, organised labour says it is going ahead with a planned nationwide strike over a new minimum wage.
President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio and the Speaker, House of Representatives, Abbas Tajudeen, agreed that the meeting was fruitful and called on organised labour to resume negotiations with the government.
But responding on behalf of labour, the President of the Trade Union Congress, Festus Osifo, said the strike holds since they lack the power to decide on behalf of the resolution of the entire workforce.
