Trump’s career is the most ‘remarkable’ in American politics imaginable

Former foreign minister Bob Carr says President Donald Trump has the most remarkable and transformative career imaginable in American politics.

“This guy (Trump) has walked out of a TV studio and a career in the development industry in New York,” Mr Carr told Sky News host Alan Jones.

“And today, you can say without exaggeration, he owns the US Republican Party … it’s the party that’s an adjunct to the personality.

“I would say whatever happens in the days ahead, it’s going to be a Trump appointee who will be his successor as Republican candidate for the presidency in 2024, this is astonishing.

“On the Trump achievement, I’ve got to say this is the most remarkable and transformative career imaginable in American politics.”
