World Health Organization condemns Russia's aggression in Ukraine
WHO, 러 규탄 결의안 채택…"보건 비상사태 초래"
The World Health Organization voted on Thursday to adopt a resolution that condemns Russia's actions in Ukraine,... as they have led to a national health emergency.
Approved by 88 votes in favor, with 12 against, and 53 abstentions, the resolution's passage led to a standing ovation by its supporters.
The move further isolates Moscow on the international stage.
Meanwhile, the organization rejected a parallel proposal submitted by Russia, which mirrored the language of the original but omitted parts relating to Moscow's aggression.
WHO Europe member states have also passed a resolution that could result in Russia's regional office closing.
